[00:00:30] I’m going to give you two common mistakes that I see in the industry. Number one, innovation. Number two, marketing. There are so many things that I see over, and over, and over in several image consulting businesses that are basically the same cookie cutter services with the same titles, same pricing structure, etc.
[00:01:00] There are so many different avenues that you could take your business and so many creative ways to personalize it and market it that I really see a lack of innovation and more so, I guess, personalization of the businesses that are launching. That ties in with marketing. I see way too many consultants not marketing themselves enough and not getting involved online.
[00:01:30] Online is the biggest place that you are going to get business from, and there are so many ways. You don’t have to be on every platform, I’m not advocating that, to market yourself for free and marketing yourself enough.
[00:02:00] I think one of the most common mistakes I see is that consultants don’t make a great first impression, and that’s so weird because we are in the business of first impressions. We are the business of first impressions. Then I source the internet and look onto websites of fellow consultants, I often can see immediately that they don’t make a great first impression because 90%, for example, or more than 90% for my business come via the internet. I do know how important it is how I represent myself there on my website. When visitors come to your website, what do they immediately see?
[inaudible 00:02:29] Do they immediately see your face, and your personality, and who you are as a person, and what you stand for, and which story you are telling, and which services and quality you offer to them? Make sure that you make a first powerful impression.
[00:02:30] Make it on the internet because you do not always have the chance to meet them in person and make a great.
