Whether social media is a new playground for you as a business owner or you feel like you have the lay of the land, but are not getting the results you want, sometimes knowing a few extra hacks can give you a leg up and show you some simple ways to get your social media game on point.
Pre-schedule your posts
Were you so busy last Monday you forgot to post about that sale you were having? Out of town for a week and no time to keep your social media feed full?
always full of relevant and informational details. Never again forget to post about that upcoming sale, event or blog post and always have a social media feed full of great information to engage your followers.
Get relevant followers faster
Share for Share or Shoutout for Shoutout (S4S) is a great way to form beneficial partnerships with other influencers who are in the same market or niche as yourself. This can be used on almost any social media platform so the ideas are endless. The basic idea is that you agree to post each other’s content with a reference or tag the other person. This can help your platform gain more followers who are interested in your area of expertise.
The Twitter character limit does not have to limit you
Yes, there is a character limit on your Twitter post, but here is a great trick to get around it. Post as you normally would, but end your tweet with a cliffhanger. Then reply to your own tweet (while removing the @ mention of yourself) and voila! Now you have a long tweet, story or post that is in chronological order and can ever add links along the way.
Calls to action
In order to get people’s attention and get them to sign up for things, you need to have a clear and catchy call to action on your posts. Videos are a great way to invite your followers to your next webinar, workshop or event. You can post quick 10-20 second videos on Instagram stories, Facebook, Snapchat and more. You can even send special video invitations in DM messages to specific users you want to target.
Hide the trolls
Let’s face it, there is nothing worse than dealing with a troll on a post. We have all been there. Many times people will delete their comments, which can enrage the troll even further causing them to post even more. Some will ban the troll causing them to message you asking why they were banned.
Instead, why not hide the comments instead? This makes the troll think their comments are still there while hiding it from your other followers and it still allows you to keep a high engagement on the post which can help increase reach without fostering any ill will towards the alleged troll.
