[00:00:30] On a personal point of view, I’m very much inspired by my brother. I remember being in our children’s room at home many, many, many years ago, and he was dreaming of becoming a pilot.
[00:01:00] He had airplanes up on the ceiling, hanging there, and there was all this dreaming of that life dream, but on the financial side, it was just not possible, and he was not a very good student in school, too, so there were a lot of, lot of blocks on that road. Now, 40 years later, he is flying the private jet of one of the richest families in the world, and I just see how hard work and persistent brought him from that dream, being a little boy dreaming of becoming a pilot, into that position. He just did it.
[00:01:30] He just maked it work, and that’s probably something that I also value very much in my professional work.
I feel very much inspired not by people talking about ideas. I feel inspired by people who just do it, who just make things work. I think that was also one of the reasons we very easily worked together and immediately decided that’s a good fit, because I was so inspired by the things Shauna did in South Carolina, what I watched from afar, that I said “This is one person I look up to and I want to work with.”
[00:02:00] I actually have to share similar sentiments in terms of who really inspires me. The easy one is, of course, my husband, another entrepreneur, and ever since we met, we’ve both, I think, been a source of inspiration for each other in a very, very unique way. It’s wonderful to have that, but I also find it so inspiring to just see people take action and do what they love, whether it’s a musical talent or start a business.
[00:02:30] I am fortunate enough to be able to work with a lot of new aspiring entrepreneurs, not only image consultants but other women and men that are starting businesses, that come from some really, really sticky and crazy and negative backgrounds and have gone through and overcome so many things, more than a lot of us could ever even imagine could happen to one person. To see them persist and do something like this and take the risk to be an entrepreneur and start a business, I just think is, gives me goosebumps. I think it’s absolutely amazing.
